Hi, I’m Amy, founder of True Joy Care. Child care has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home where my mother owned a daycare, which meant I was surrounded by children, parents, and the daily rhythm of caregiving from an early age. What began as built-in playmates slowly became hands-on responsibility and an early understanding of both nurturing children and supporting families. That foundation shaped everything that followed.

 

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked in elementary schools, preschools, and spent over 12 years as a professional nanny. Working so closely inside family homes gave me a unique perspective. Not just on child development, but on family dynamics, trust, communication, and what truly makes a placement thrive long-term. After years inside family homes, I developed a strong instinct for recognizing not just great caregivers, but the subtle dynamics that make a placement truly work.

 

Over time, families and fellow nannies began turning to me for guidance: reviewing resumes, helping families evaluate candidates, offering interview advice, and supporting both sides in finding the right long-term fit. What started organically eventually became True Joy Care, where I now support families through a thoughtful and personalized placement process. The name True Joy is very personal to me, inspired by my middle name, Joy. It’s a small reminder of the happiness and peace of mind the right caregiver can bring into a family’s home.

This work is deeply meaningful to me. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to entrust someone with your child. My goal is to bring clarity and thoughtful guidance to a process that can often feel emotional and uncertain. Your child is your greatest treasure, and it is an honor to support families in finding care that feels safe, aligned, and genuinely joyful. At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to help families find care that brings real peace of mind into their homes.
